The Elements of a Performing System

At EQUIS, we believe that the first step of a system on its way towards sustainable performance is to define its Purpose and to deploy it with all teams and individuals so they can clearly identify their contribution to its success. Breakthrough actions are defined, implemented and followed through. 

 

 

DEVELOPING THE PURPOSE

 

By working first with Executive Team members, we help them define the organization vision of success, mission, values and commitments towards the company major stakeholders.

Then, in a second step, we call in the first level of Management to have them identify, together with the Top Team members, the tangible elements of and the existing obstacles to the organization success, leading to the identification of breakthrough actions.

 

 

DEPLOYING THE PURPOSE

 

In a second phase, on the basis of the organization elements previously clarified, every single team, addressed in a top-down approach, defines its own contribution to the company Purpose (its own mission, commitments, key elements and obstacles), leading to the identification of team development actions.

 

 

FOLLOWING UP ON THE PURPOSE

 

We then provide support to the pilots accountable for making the teams' actions operational, and for regularly reporting progress to the Top Team members, who can coordinate and align all units missions, commitments and actions for ensuring a proper alignment of all.
